Church and world mission:
Is your church considering getting motivated regarding world mission? If so Mission International may be able to help you make your first contacts in the developing world in a safe environment, making it easier to get started.

Many church groups and indigenous NGOs are very keen to provide opportunity for UK churches to send a team to share the Gospel and to support them locally in their mission work. Teams can have a particular aim, such as medical mission or construction or it might be that the team are keen to ''do what has to be done''.

Would you like to be part of a Mission International Team in 2010?

The team members for 2009 are now about to go out to their destination. They will be involved in Evangelism, Kids ministry, project work and even some tourism if available. The teams normally spend between 2 and 3 weeks in country and most return with amazing stories to tell of how God used them in many wide ranging situations. Computer Teacher - Uganda

Bweyogerere - Uganda:

Bweyogerere Multi Purpose Primary School has requested the help of someone who can assist the teaching staff by helping train pupils on the basics of Computing. The school is in a poor area adjacent to Uganda's capital city and needs a lot of help in all areas of the community. Bweyogerere is a very poor community but sees the education of children as a priority. The school prioritises supporting children who are orphaned and often destitute and as a result requires lots of help in their endeavours. Recently Pastor Emmanuel Sunday requested help in particular with the training of young primary school children in the basics of computing.

If you wold like to help it will mean a high level of commitment. The post will last from 1-6 months and would require you to raise you fare and support for the period of service, and even raise the funds for some decent computers as well.

Rwanda - School Administrator (Self funding)

Star School Administrator:Star School is situated on the outskirts of Kigali, Rwanda's capital city. The school is built to accommodate 700 students, both primary and secondary with boarding and day school pupils.

Star school requires a full-time administrator to manage both primary and secondary sections of the school and who is prepared to self-fund their service.

The successful candidate will be a qualified school teacher and will have experience in the management of schools preferably in the UK.
Applicants should have a live Christian faith and be willing to take groups like Scripture Union and to assist the pupils in matters of their faith in conjunction with other staff from time to time.

An ability to communicate with and get on well with pupils will be an advantage. To be able to speak French will also benefit anyone who applies for this position.

Pupils come from across Rwanda and from many different backgrounds. Due to Rwanda's recent traumatic past many young people have challenges which require a sensitive approach.

Star School is a new fast growing community school, new pupils and staff members are arriving regularly and the administrator will be responsible for aspects of management outside the regular daily running of the school.
